$14,350 has been pledged to the Choctaw County Memorial Hospital fund drive, according to Robert Firebaugh, chairman, this being $650 short of the goal of 15,000 set for contributions before the hospital is opened.
Chairman Firebaugh urges that citizens rally to the cause and make up the amount needed during this week. The actual amount which has been paid in of the amount pledged is $10,564. Pledgers are urged to turn in their amounts as soon as possible.
Latest pledges are: Boswell, $500; Fort Towson, $500; Women's Society of Christian Service, First Methodist Church, $500, and Kelly-Miller Circus, $500.
The amounts from Boswell and Fort Towson will be utilized for memorializing rooms for citizens of those two towns and the pledge from the Women's society will be used for a special room in their honor. The Kelly-Miller Circus pledge is for a memorialized room for all show people of Choctaw County.
